The Ideal Time for Newborn Portraits
The ‘ideal’ time to photograph your newborn baby is 5 to 10 days old. But why is that? What if you missed that window? and what if you are practicing confinement?

Choose a date and time for your portrait sitting, unless you are a newborn client and then we pencil in your due date and set your date once baby arrives
Shoot!
I aim to keep things nice and relaxed, a portrait sitting is usually all over in an hour and a half & newborns between 2-4 hours.

Why I Chose Newborn Photography
I have always LOVED babies and from my early teens a photographer is what I wanted to be. After the birth of my first daughter I was immediately ready for another baby, I already missed being pregnant and loved having a newborn! In that time what we know now as newborn portraiture was just gaining some momentum and I quite naturally gravitated towards it. I never really loved photographing weddings and they no longer suited my family situation.
So now I do what I truly love.
