Expecting a new baby is such an exciting time.
The only thing better than watching your newborn sleep is having them curled up on you while they share with you their little tiny newborn snoozing sighs… ahhhh babies I just love them!
I truly LOVE photographing newborns, I would be honoured to freeze some of the fleeting newborn moments for you and package them up in a special little memory box. In just a few years you can look back at these images in wonder, trying to figure out where your squishy newborn went as you get them ready for their first day of school and in what will seem like just a few more years you can pass them on to your “little baby” as they prepare to welcome their very own bundle of joy! People will tell you the time will fly but you won’t truly appreciate the warning until it is far too late… time dawdles by at the end of your pregnancy but really makes up for it from the moment your little one makes their grand appearance.
Newborn portraits are best taken in the first two weeks after birth (you can read more about why here) so it is best to contact me now to make your booking… but don’t worry we won’t set the actual date until baby arrives. Now if You are reading this with your new babe in your arms feeling sad that those ten days have already passed please don’t let that stop you from contacting me, the is just the ideal timeframe, I’m happy to accommodate you and your slightly older baby, it’s never too late for beautiful portraits of your little one!
Your precious little bundles safety is as important to me as it is to you and I assure you that it is my main concern while working with your family, if you see any photos in my galleries that you think look unsafe you can trust that they are images created with a parents hands either cloned out of the picture like magic or just out of the frame, better to be safe then sorry!
We are a whooping cough immunised home and I also have a Working with Children Check – WA card.
Samantha May Photography is located in Willetton, just 20mins South of the Perth CBD and easily accessed via both Leech and Roe Highways. Our comfortable studio is an inviting place for parents and their babies to relax as we create some beautiful newborn portraits to treasure.

Choose a date and time for your portrait sitting, unless you are a newborn client and then we pencil in your due date and set your date once baby arrives
Shoot!
I aim to keep things nice and relaxed, a portrait sitting is usually all over in an hour and a half & newborns between 2-4 hours.
It is never to early to book your newborn photographer!
